The junior and senior high years can be the most difficult and challenging times. Our class for young people in grades 8 to 12 will give them the biblical foundation to thrive in an environment that seeks to push them into ways of thinking and behaving that do not honor God. In our class, they will be in a supportive group of friends who want to learn more about Jesus, and who are experiencing the challenges of transitioning from childhood to adulthood just like they are. Peer pressure and temptation are very strong during this time in their lives, and kids need confirmation for thinking correctly about morality. This is also a time of life when kids are beginning to establish a firm foundation of faith that will carry them throughout their entire lives. Young people will be encouraged to speak openly about their experiences, and to ask for help from a caring church staff.
Teaching will focus on God's Plan of Salvation through Jesus Christ. New students might not yet know Jesus as their personal savior. Lessons will help guide them to an understanding of salvation with an opportunity to make their own free will decision to follow Christ for the rest of their lives.
Bring your young people to class every Sunday. It is one of the most important gifts you can give them as parents and guardians. We look forward to having you visit soon!
